Konichiwa! I will be traveling to Japan as a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar to study its educational system and culture from October 1-19, 2006. Feel free to post questions or comments. I will use this as a way to communicate with family, friends, colleagues, and students. I'll try to reply to as many as I can, when I can. The clock below shows you what time it is in Japan....Remember, Japan is 12 hours AHEAD of the United States! They are living in the future!

Our last day in Kurashiki

Today we head to the Ryokan. It is an old style Japanese Inn. We will have one last meal together as our group and will celebrate our week together. It should be a lot of fun. We are all ready to come home - it has been an adventure, but there is no place like home. When I get home I am going to have two things - a cheeseburger from Chili's and a real Diet Coke!

According to Paula (my sister-in-law), I am to look for monkeys at the Ryokan spring waters. So - I am off to look for those monkeys!
