Konichiwa! I will be traveling to Japan as a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar to study its educational system and culture from October 1-19, 2006. Feel free to post questions or comments. I will use this as a way to communicate with family, friends, colleagues, and students. I'll try to reply to as many as I can, when I can. The clock below shows you what time it is in Japan....Remember, Japan is 12 hours AHEAD of the United States! They are living in the future!

Three weeks and counting!!!!

I leave in three weeks. I think I am ready because I have bought my official "Japan" slippers. In Japan they have specific rituals that I will be following - one in particular, wearing slippers!!! My usual slippers are black with bows and rhinestones.....somehow I do not think these would be appropriate to wear in the Japanese schools during a tour. So - I have purchase some very simple pink slippers! I am sure they will do!

Have I done anything else - NO..........

Will I ever be ready for this trip????
